Minestrone Soup

2 pounds ground beef, browned with:
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup chopped celery
½ cup chopped onion
1/3 cup diced green pepper

Add:
1 quart tomatoes
1 quart water
2 large carrots, peeled and sliced
2 cups beef broth
2 cans tomato sauce
1 tablespoon dried parsley
½ teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon garlic salt
1 15 ounce can garbanzo beans
1 16 ounce can green beans
1 15 ounce can kidney beans
1 ¼ cups penne macaroni, uncooked
Parmesan cheese, for garnish

In a large pot, combine all ingredients except beans and pasta. Bring to a boil and then simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes. Add beans. Bring back to a boil and add pasta. Cook 15-20 minutes or until pasta is tender.

Garnish with cheese when serving.
